About Me

  Deb Burbank is a former teacher with a passion for finding fun ways to build literacy in struggling readers. She resides in Crystal River, Florida, with her husband, Tailor. Her first experience with waterfront living included watching a playful “happy” fish known as the mullet show off his array of jumps and splashes. Curious about why the Florida fish moves as it does and if happiness is really a factor, Deb researched the species and put her findings into words for her grandchildren and others to enjoy. She plans to continue her passion for writing and teaching with more fish friendly books!
